In the Online version of this book review the last paragraph was incorrect. The corrected version of the paragraph is as follows:
The difference between psychoanalysis and medicine might therefore be that psychoanalysis is not trying to cure anyone. It is an act of embarking on a quest that may at times exist beautifully in and of itself. Finding is only one thing we could wish for, of the multitude such adventures can hold.
In the first sentence of the last paragraph, the phrase was changed from “nothing to do with the patient wants” to “nothing to do with what the patient wants”.
