Abstract
In this chapter we look at the alternative approach to management. While we’re not pushing you as far out of your comfort zone as to suggest that you have to get rid of any hierarchy, that there should be no bosses (although that certainly is an option), we are suggesting a different mindset and approach. Instead of managers being trained to manage people, we suggest that they are trained to shape the environment and the systems and to be aware of what people can do personally. These are the headings we explore under each concept.
