Abstract

Reflection on our two counterexamples to the Ease of Mistake Approach (Section 3.5) raises an important question: What distinguishes Religious Sheep Rock from Coffee Cup so that only the former involves gettiered belief? As we’re about to see, an appealing answer to this question points clearly in the direction of what is arguably the Ease of Mistake Approach’s main competitor: the Lack of Credit Approach.
