Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to give a brief description of the concepts that have informed the approach to assertiveness and diversity that is developed in this book and illustrated through the case studies and case analyses. Each of the approaches relates either to developing selfconfidence and positive self-esteem, or to the development of working relationships that are assertive, inclusive, and transformational between people.
