Abstract

In this chapter, I take up the implications of the literature reviewed in Chapter 1 and formulate the questions which are explored in the rest of the book. I locate the research project within a social constructionist framework, and discuss the theoretical concepts which underpin the research analysis. The descriptions of the research participants are included here, as well as the construction of the protocol for the research interviews.
