Abstract
The previous sixteen chapters have provided overviews of each Leader of the Opposition from Winston Churchill to David Cameron, with each of those leaders being assessed in terms of their proficiency as public communicators; the construction of their public policy platforms; their abilities at party management; and their emotional intelligence. Reading these chapters leaves us with two key questions to consider — how has the role of Leader of the Opposition changed in the post-war era; and what makes for an effective Leader of the Opposition?
