Abstract
Having shacked up in the 1980s, Marxism and feminism are never going to get away from each other.1 While this relationship was a worldwide ‘item’ for a time, the fact that it has cooled does not mean that it is over. Like mud, history sticks, and this couple will always have a history. The more interesting question, of course, is what kind of future they will have. The perhaps (un)surprising answer is that they will each turn into someone else — as we all do anyway.
