Abstract

It was October 31st, ten minutes after midnight. American police were roaming the streets, nervously, cautiously, at times slithering their way like snakes. The police knew very well what to expect that night. Newscasts also warned people about what was to happen that night and made references to the incidents of the past year. The state police were ready for any violence that might break out during the annual satanic celebration.

Muhammad Hasan al-Alfi is an Egyptian reporter who lived for a year and a half in the United States. He visited many states and befriended many Americans from all walks of life. Some of the chapters of his book deal with Halloween, UFOs and aliens, ESP, a visit to Alcatraz prison, violent crimes in America, capital punishment in America, cloning, and Cairo-Washington relations. The cover of his book has a picture of a male punk with a Mohawk haircut, sticking out his tongue.
