Isabel Gray, Program Director

Beta Phi Mu is a library and information studies honor society, founded in 1948, with over 35,000 graduates of the ALA-initiated accredited professional programmes. Beta Phi Mu was founded at the University of Illinois by a group of leading librarians and library educators. Aware of the notable achievements of honour societies in other professions, they believed that such a society would have much to offer librarianship and library education.
