Abstract

Four new angular-type pyranocoumarin glycosides, named praeroside II (1) praeroside III (2), praeroside IV (3), and praeroside V (4), were isolated from the n-butanol extracts of the crude drug, “Bai-Hua Qian-Hu”, the root of Peucedanum praeruptorum Dunn. (Umbelliferae). By the spectroscopic analysis and chemical studies, the structures of these newly isolated compounds were formulated as 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively.
