Synthesis of α-Amino Phosphonic Acids and α-Amino Phosphinic Acids via the Corresponding N-Acylimino Derivatives Acyliminomethylphosphonic and acyliminomethylphosphinic esters, usually formed in situ from the corresponding acylamino(bromo)methyl compounds, react with higher order mixed cuprates to yield, after hydrolysis, C-substituted aminomethylphosphonic acids and aminomethylphosphinic acids, respectively.
