Abstract

On completion of the article the reader should be able to:

• Identify the foods required for bone health and the quantities required

• Identify through nutritional assessment patients at risk of dietary deficiency in nutrients required for bone health

• Provide realistic and achievable general advice on dietary requirements for bone health

• Appreciate the role of supplements.
