Long-term outcomes of lymphatic malformations in children: An 11-year experience from a tertiary referral center
2022, Journal of Pediatric SurgeryCitation Excerpt :Microcystic LMs with skin involvement may be confused with other skin lesions. Misdiagnosis may potentially lead to delayed or incorrect treatment [11,12]. No mortality directly related LMs occurred in our cohort, and major complications related to treatment were uncommon, supporting the role of multidisciplinary assessment in patient selection for expectant and interventive measures, and in the choice of treatment modality.
Lymphatic malformations
2020, Seminars in Pediatric SurgeryCitation Excerpt :Lymphatic malformations are benign and usually noted at birth or within the first few years of life (Fig. 1). Lymphatic malformations can be detected antenatally with ultrasonography or cross-sectional imaging.8 More rarely, lymphatic malformations present at an older age.

2019, Annales Francaises d'Oto-Rhino-Laryngologie et de Pathologie Cervico-FacialeGuidelines (short version) of the French Society of Otorhinolaryngology (SFORL) on cervical lymphatic malformation in adults and children: Diagnosis
2019, European Annals of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck DiseasesCitation Excerpt :Antenatal forms should be discussed within an antenatal diagnostic center, where ENT opinion may be sought. LM can be diagnosed prenatally [23] (level of evidence, 4), as of GW6, in the vast majority of cases during 2nd semester ultrasonography [22] (level of evidence, 4). Doppler ultrasound characterizes masses as cystic or solid, shows absence of calcification, analyzes swallowing and fluid flow in the airway in the 3rd semester, but is not effective in visualizing the trachea.
