A microwave agile active filter is presented which uses microwave integrated circuit (MIC) and monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) technologies. The resonators consist of a modified MIC half wavelength resonator λ/2 with an MMIC amplifier and phase shifter for feedback. They provide extremely low loss and high Q values. A microwave high-Q active bandpass filter is realised using a varactor diode for tuning.
