Studies on the reaction of benzoyl peroxide with NN-dialkyl aromatic amines and other related compounds. Part III. Reactions of some phenolic ethers

Abstract

Phenolic ethers are much less reactive towards benzoyl peroxide than are NN-dialkylanilines. Benzoyl peroxide in benzene brings about some oxidative dimerisation of o-hydroxyanisoles through the position ortho or para to the hydroxy-group.
