Dioxygen activation by [Co2(µ-OH)L]{H3L=2,6-bis[(2-hydroxyphenyl)iminomethyl]-4-methylphenol}, catalysed cooxygenation of PPh3 and alkenes, alcohols, a sulfide, a sulfoxide and diphenylacetylene

Abstract

Alkenes, alcohols, a sulfide, a sulfoxide and diphenylacetylene can be hetero-cooxygenated with PPh3 catalysed by a dicobalt complex: [Co2(µ-OH)L]{H3L = 2,6-bis[(2-hydroxyphenyl)iminomethyl]-4-methylphenol}, to produce a single oxidation product for each substrate.
