Communicating with patients who have immigrated to the UK

Abstract

Dentists aspire to ensure that their patients understand everything that is communicated during a dental consultation. This should extend to patients whose first language may not be English. The rate of immigration is increasing so dentists should become more competent in communicating with this cohort of patients.
