Specific Recognition of GTψC Loop (Loop IV) of tRNA by 50S Ribosomal Subunits from E. coli

Abstract

The tetranucleotide TpψpCpGp binds to 50S ribosomal subunits and by doing so inhibits EF-Tu-directed aminoacyl-tRNA binding, EF-Tu-linked GTP hydrolysis and ribosome-dependent synthesis of magic spot I.
