Abstract
MANY alterations of the central nervous system have been discovered in mutant strains of mice, usually by neurological, behavioural, biochemical or anatomopathological investigation1–3. Here we report that the polygraphic study of the states of sleep in chronically implanted mice is also a very sensitive index for examining the functioning of the central nervous system in the inbred strains.
