Abstract
THIS communication describes some effects of gas flow on the properties of a weakly ionized d.c. discharge in argon at pressures of 2–30 mm mercury, with discharge currents of 15–200 m.amp, and gas flow velocities ranging from zero to 1.5 × 104 cm/sec, corresponding to a Mach number approximately 0.5.
