Abstract
THE primary object of my communication1 was to give other interested specialists an opportunity of reconsidering the recommendations about the definition of Jurassic stages. The British Mesozoic Committee held a special general meeting on February 26, 1964, to discuss these matters. At this meeting there was disagreement as to whether the Callovian Stage should be included in the Middle or Upper Jurassic, but a small majority favoured the latter and that recommendation will be put forward at the next meeting of the international committee. It is hoped to communicate all the Committee's revised recommendations to Nature in the near future.
