Abstract
UNDERWOOD1, discussing the nutritional significance of trace elements, states “zinc deficiency has never been observed in man or in farm stock, under either naturally occurring or experimental conditions. It seems very unlikely that such a deficiency could ever arise in grazing or stall fed sheep or cattle, because of the normal high content of zinc in plant materials”.
