Shape of Spot and Rate of Sorption in Paper Chromatography

Abstract

CHROMATOGRAPHY is characterized by a dynamic distribution of a substance between a stationary phase and a mobile phase in which diffusion occurs1. In the case of a linear sorption isotherm, the exchange reaction between the two phases may be considered to be of the first order.
