Transverse alternating electrophoresis

Abstract

Pulsed field gel techniques have pushed the size limits for the separation of DNA fragments forward by several orders of magnitude. By orienting the electric field transverse to the gel, lane-to-lane distortion of DNA migration can be eliminated.
