Abstract
GRUBB1 reported that Rh-positive red blood cells coated with an incomplete anti-D serum could be caused to agglutinate by serum from some patients with rheumatoid arthritis. He showed also that serum from some healthy patients could inactivate the rheumatoid arthritis serum when mixed with it, so that sensitized red blood cells would not be caused to agglutinate.
