Abstract
Self-condensation of cyclohexylidenecyanothioacetamide gave 2,3-dihydro-5,6-tetramethylenespiro(cyclohexane-2-thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine)-4(1H)-thione, the structure of which was proved by X-ray analysis. A mechanism is proposed for its formation and its alkylation has been studied.
