Abstract
Monte-Carlo calculations of the order parameter and the string tension in SU(2) lattice gauge theory are performed. The parameterization of the group elements of SU(2) used in our contribution differs from the standard one. The comparison with papers using standard parametrization is given and the obtained results are discussed.
