An Active and Stable Wilkinson's Complex-Derived SiO2-Tethered Catalyst Via an Amine Ligand for Cyclohexene Hydroformylation

Abstract

A Wilkinson's complex-derived SiO2-tethered catalyst via an amine ligand is not only fairly effective and stable for cyclohexene hydroformylation under the milder conditions of 100°C and 28 bar of equimolar CO and H2 but also prevailing over the corresponding homogeneous catalyst. This catalyst has the advantage of resistance to rhodium leaching or/and high activity over homologous tethered catalysts via phosphine and thiol ligands.
