1 Since neither the Chairman of this committee nor the Secretary has received any information concerning the cours d’été held at the University of Montreal last summer, it is quite impossible to report any more than the fact that the Association made two grants-in-aid to students who were in attendance there.

2 Acting for the Secretary, Professors Wilson and Wanamaker (Acadia) wrote the required letter and in reply received a tentative invitation. The location of the 1964 Meeting is, however, still undecided; members will be informed in due course of the Executive Council’s decision in this matter.

3 The Secretary would like to take this opportunity to thank Professor W. F. Mackey of Laval University for his considerable contribution to the success of the Meeting, both by carrying out the duties of Chairman of the Business Meeting with bilingual efficiency and by smoothing the way in many matters for all of us.
