2003, Chemical Physics LettersCitation Excerpt :An infrared (IR) laser beam pumps a rovibrational transition in the ground electronic state of OH, and a UV laser beam probes an electronic transition originating from the labeled level. There have been only a few previous reports of TC-RFWM experiments of free radicals [6–8], none of which used an IR pump transition, and we are not aware of any prior report of TC-PS using pulsed lasers. We compare spectra, examine collisional effects, and consider how the signal in each case is related to parameters such as molecule density, transition probability, and laser intensity.
