A novel 2-(Hydroxymethyl)quinolin-8-ol-based selective and sensitive fluorescence probe for Cd2+ ion in water and living cells
2017, Sensors and Actuators, B: ChemicalTurn-on fluorescence probe for selective detection of Hg(II) by calixpyrrole hydrazide reduced silver nanoparticle: Application to real water sample
2016, Chinese Chemical LettersCitation Excerpt :Hg(II) responsive chemosensors with fluorescence response offer a promisingly simple and rapid approach in monitoring the aqueous Hg(II) in biological and environmental samples. As far as sensitivity is considered, fluoroionophores showing fluorescence enhancement upon metal ion binding are favoured over those exhibiting fluorescence quenching [29–32]. Therefore important practical challenge is to have a water soluble sensors which can sense Hg(II) ions via turn-on mechanism and appropriately meet the criteria of selectivity over other competing metal ion contaminants and of optical sensitivity in aqueous solution.
A pillar[5]arene-based cyanide sensor bearing on a novel cyanide-induced self-assemble mechanism
2016, Dyes and PigmentsCitation Excerpt :As one of these, 8-hydroxyquinoline is one of the most important complexing agent for ions in its fluorescence upon ions binding [46–48]. Therefore, 8-hydroxyquinoline has been used to construct highly sensitive fluorescent sensors for ions of important biological and environmental significance [49–51], we envisaged that this shall be probable through introducing an efficient enhancing pathway in the 8-hydroxyquinoline ethers that can be raised its fluorescence characteristics upon anions complex [52]. As a consequence, we envisaged that tethering quinoline section, which are recognized as an excellent fluorophores for anion sensors.
