Clinical implications of the serum CA19-9 level in “biological borderline resectability” and “biological downstaging” in the setting of preoperative chemoradiation therapy for pancreatic cancer
2020, PancreatologyCitation Excerpt :For all patients who were eligible for gemcitabine-based preoperative CRT, radiological evaluations were performed before the initiation of preoperative CRT to confirm that the tumors were categorized as resectable or BRPC according to the NCCN guidelines [1]. The resectability status in this study was determined based on the definition by the International Association of Pancreatology [4]. The IAP definition consists of 3 distinct factors: (A) anatomical factors, (B) biological factors, and (C) conditional factors [4].
