Radiofrequency ablation compared to resection in early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma
2013, HPBCitation Excerpt :Over the course of this study, RFA technology has improved with the development of newer and larger 5–7‐cm probes, which allow the treatment of larger tumours. It has also been shown to be efficacious in both tumours measuring <3 cm and HCC tumours of 5 cm.21,22 The present study included a subgroup analysis to investigate how RFA compares with HR in patients with tumours of ≥2 cm.
