Finally, the challenge for orthoregeneration in osteonecrosis is the need for an early diagnosis12 before the onset of collapse, that is to say before loss of sphericity of the femoral head, once the subchondral bone is fractured. Chondral lesions in the hip are associated with other conditions13,14 such as developmental dysplasia, loose bodies, labral tears, femoroacetabular impingement, osteochondritis, or traumatic injury (secondary to dislocation, acetabular fracture, femoral head fracture).
