Abstract

We report a pressure effect on CeCu2(Si0.98Ge0.02)2 where an antiferromagnetic order below TN∼0.75K coexists with superconductivity below Tc∼0.4K. At pressures exceeding 0.56GPa, the magnetic order is suppressed and concomitantly the unconventional superconducting state evolves into a typical heavy-fermion one with a line-node gap. This result demonstrates that the magnetic order is due to the lattice expansion caused by doping Ge. We remark that the characteristic feature of exotic coexisting state at ambient pressure is the persistence of low-lying magnetic excitations even in the superconducting state.
