Qui sont les patients EGFR mutés ?
Les données des différentes études de phase III permettent de déterminer une proportion de patients mutés pour l’EGFR compris entre 10% (population non sélectionnée) et plus de 50% (population asiatique peu/pas fumeur) [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6]. L’étude de Rosell et al. a permis de mettre en évidence une survie globale très augmentée chez ces patients porteurs d’une mutation de l’EGFR traités en première ligne par un inhibiteur de tyrosine kinase (TKI) de l’EGFR, de l’ordre de 27 mois [7].

Ces toutes dernières années ont vu un bouleversement dans le traitement de certains types de CBNPC. Les inhibiteurs de tyrosine kinase (TKI) de l’EGFR permettent chez les patients porteurs d’une tumeur mutée pour l’EGFR d’atteindre des survies jusqu’ici jamais vues dans le cancer bronchique, jusqu’à 27 mois dans l’étude Rosell et al.
