2015, ChemosphereCitation Excerpt :Metal desorption from solids particles was carried out to study the amount of ion-exchangeable metals. Samples were centrifuged for 15 min at 1500 rpm and the suspension was removed (Young et al., 1987). The solids were washed with ethanol to remove the metal solution trapped, and oven dried at 40 °C to evaporate ethanol (Polcaro et al., 2003).
