2015, Fertility and SterilityCitation Excerpt :Likewise, Yidiz et al. (32) found a negative correlation between global fibrinolytic capacity and FT, indicating a direct association between hypofibrinolysis and hyperandrogenemia. Winkler et al. (33) reported a positive correlation between PAI-1 and FT. Because we were unable to find studies in the literature evaluating TGT in PCOS, it was impossible to compare the results of the test used in the present study with other studies. Although TGT is used only for research purposes and not in clinical practice at the present time, principally because there is no established cutoff value, its results are nonetheless interesting because they infer hypercoagulability.
