    On the basis of above evidences, the structure of asasiebolin (1) was deduced as shown. By comparison of their 1H, 13C-NMR and ESI-MS spectra data with those reported, the other two major compounds were identified as (+)-sesamin (L-sesamin, 2) (Christov et al., 1999) and (−)-asarinin (L-asarinin, 3) (Ahsan and Islam, 1997; Venkataraman and Gopalakrishnan, 2002), respectively (Fig. 2). As the typical secondary components of Asarum genus, a series of lignans have been reported from A. sieboldii (Quang et al., 2012; Han et al., 2008).
