Adenomatoid odontogenic tumor mimicking a globulo-maxillary cyst

Abstract

A case of an adenomatoid odontogenic tumor (AOT) simulating a globulo-maxillary cyst is described. Clinical, radiographic and microscopic findings as well as the differential diagnosis arc discussed. The present case brings the number of AOT cases without any relationship to an impacted tooth to 23; the number of cases resembling a globulo-maxillary cyst to 6.
