Economic aspects of recreation, tourism, and property rights became the author's main research interest when he was at the Department of Economics, Umeå University. His current research involves travel and transport-related demand modeling and forecasting. In particular, he studies issues such as the factors that determine transport mode choices and time valuation in leisure trips.
