Continuous bilateral stimulation of the globus pallidus internus (GPi) is helpful in patients with generalized dystonia and complex cervical dystonia, with improvement in associated pain, and functional disability [60–63]. The combined targets of the ventral intermediate nucleus (Vim) plus GPi DBS could be an approach for myoclonus dystonia [64] (Fig 2A).
