Abstract

High-purity chalcogenide glasses from Assingle bondS, Assingle bondSe and Gesingle bondAssingle bondSe systems are promising materials for mid-infrared low loss optical fibers. This review reports some problems of the preparation of low impurity chalcogenide glasses and optical fibers, investigation of their properties, and some applications of such fibers.
