Abstract

Trimethylsilylation was applied to the hydrolysed and polycondensed products of methyltriethoxysilane in an aqueous solution containing sodium ions. Five trimethylsilylated derivatives of methylsilsesquioxanes present in the solution were detected by gas chromatography and identified by combined gas chromatograph-mass spectrometry.
