Chemical methods (Venkatesana et al., 2005; Lazar et al., 1999; Cristante et al., 1990) include additive injection at the bottom of the well to enhance the effect of oil mixing and the beginning of activity at higher temperatures. Additives can prevent the paraffin deposition and improve flow characteristics depending on the selected additive or its combinations.
