2009, Surgery for Obesity and Related DiseasesCitation Excerpt :Because multiple adhesions between loops of bowel and a limited field of vision through the scope present major obstacles to successful revision of JIB using laparoscopy, we still recommend revision of JIB using an open approach, regardless of the indication. The 7.7% morbidity rate for these 13 patients compared favorably with the morbidity rates in large published series of bariatric revisional operations [2–4]. The length of stay was not prolonged in any of these 13 patients.
