To peer or not to peer: A controlled peer-editing intervention measuring writing self-efficacy in South Korean higher education
2023, International Journal of Educational Research OpenCitation Excerpt :Peer editing (or peer assessment/review) has been shown to have multiple benefits for various purposes: student engagement in the writing process (Miao et al., 2006), understanding target audiences (Ho & Savignon, 2007; Lee, 2015; Rollinson, 2005), increased awareness of learning communities, (Ferris, 2003; Ferris & Hedgcock, 2005; Hsieh, 2016) and increased proficiency in L2 students’ writing capabilities and linguistic acumen (Hedgcock & Lefkowitz, 1992; Lam, 2013; Lockhart & Ng, 1995; Min, 2006).
