Other methods such as gas chromatography mass-spectrometry (GC-MS) (Miribel et al., 1983), solid-phase extraction (Bonazzi et al., 1995), capillary electrophoresis (Abad-Villar et al., 2006), flow-injection spectrometry (Calatayud et al., 1987; Perez-Ruiz et al., 1999), voltammetry (Wang and Tsai, 2001), and agar diffusion (Fiorentino et al., 2013) methods have also been reported for the determination of CHD in its commercial products. After exhaustive analysis of published articles on analysis of CHD and its salts in commercial products and biological samples, it was observed that the safety and greener characteristics of literature analytical methods were not evaluated.
