2010, Journal of Supercritical FluidsCitation Excerpt :As it is well known, EoS/Gex predictive models can be used to calculate the gas–liquid equilibrium (GLE), liquid–liquid equilibrium (LLE), vapor–liquid–liquid equilibrium (VLLE), and solid–gas equilibrium (SGE). For example, Boukouvalas et al. [42] and Voutsas et al. [43,44] advocated a linear combination of Vidal and Michelsen mixing rules (LCVM), which combines the PR EoS with the original UNIFAC using an EoS/GE type MR. The LCVM model has a large parameter table including gases and it has been shown to yield quantitatively satisfactory predictions for binary solid + gas systems involving aromatic hydrocarbons, aliphatic acids and some alcohols. Poor results were obtained, however, for complex solids, e.g. naproxen and cholesterol [25].
