Abstract

The use of differential scanning calorimetry for examining the thermal behaviour of thermoplastics is described. Applications which are discussed include the measurement of specific heat, glass transition phenomena, melting and crystallization characteristics and thermal stability. The value of the results is demonstrated by means of a few examples in each area of application.
